A snippet of a podcast discussion on The Difference Project - We were discussing the dimensions of difference we wanted to explore. For me, the opportunity around difference goes beyond the intellectual experience of recognising (or even appreciating) the differences between individuals. I'm more interested in how we deal with the daily discomfort of difference. And more importantly, what we do about it to transform these feelings of discomfort into moments of curiosity. An opportunity for connection and inclusion. It's a bit more confronting, but this is how we create real change in the diversity space. What do you think?
The Difference Project: The gendered future of work
In this episode, we explored how to begin a new design for the workplace. One that’s built for a 21st century social and business environment. One that accounts for the roles that men and women play in society, and in the home – many of which are (either traditionally or biologically) dictated by gender. One that allows women to pursue career goals and make a meaningful contribution to an organisation while ensuring that the needs of carer and homelife are met. Watch the recorded episode here.

What makes a good coach?
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐦𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐡? This is the question Rob Hartnett asked me, whilst chatting recently on his podcast. For me it's about psychological safety. Creating an environment where people feel safe to be themselves. But I began by saying it was about '𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯' and '𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘺'. I want to be clear here - you don't necessarily have to be friends with your coach, or even like them particularly, to get value, but you do need to trust that they have your back, and can help you. I'm curious though... what do you think?
