What makes a good coach?

π–π‘πšπ­ 𝐦𝐚𝐀𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐜𝐑?

This is the question Rob Hartnett asked me, whilst chatting recently on his podcast.

For me it's about psychological safety. Creating an environment where people feel safe to be themselves.

But I began by saying it was about β€˜connection’ and β€˜chemistry.’ I want to be clear here - you don't necessarily have to be friends with your coach, or even like them particularly, to get value, but you do need to trust that they have your back, and can help you.

I'm curious though... what do you think?
