The Difference Project: The gendered future of work

The Difference Project: The gendered future of work

In this episode, we explored how to begin a new design for the workplace. One thatโ€™s built for a 21st century social and business environment. One that accounts for the roles that men and women play in society, and in the home โ€“ many of which are (either traditionally or biologically) dictated by gender. One that allows women to pursue career goals and make a meaningful contribution to an organisation while ensuring that the needs of carer and homelife are met. Watch the recorded episode here.

The ability to persuade and inspire is essential in business, and you do that by the words and sentences you use. For me it's about psychological safety. Creating an environment where people feel safe to be themselves. But I began by saying it was about '๐˜ค๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฏ๐˜ฆ๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ช๐˜ฐ๐˜ฏ' and '๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฆ๐˜ฎ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ต๐˜ณ๐˜บ'. I want to be clear here - you don't necessarily have to be friends with your coach, or even like them particularly, to get value, but you do need to trust that they have your back, and can help you. I'm curious though... what do you think?
