How do we expand what good leadership looks like so more people fit into this box

🌟 If someone asked you ‘𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲?’, what would you say? ✨ 🖊

🌟 If they asked you '𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐬 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐡𝐲?',what would you say? 💡 💬

🌟 And if they asked you to ‘𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚 𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞’ then what would you say? 💫 💟

Well this is exactly what I did on stage for a 10 minute talk at the book launch of 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐲.

And you might be surprised by how dabbing fits into the equation (if you even know what that means!?) or how the current models are doing us harm, but you probably wont be surprised by how passionate I am about this topic! I’m always wrestling with the question, '𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐝𝐨 𝐰𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲?'

💡 Traditional notions of leadership often exclude diverse voices and perspectives, perpetuating inequality and limiting progress. By expanding our definition of good leadership, we create space for a multitude of talents and experiences to flourish, driving innovation and fostering a more equitable society.

If you are keen to see a shift in the way we discuss what ‘good leadership looks like’ then you might enjoy this talk too…
