We had The Big AI Chat—and it wasn’t about tools. It was about feelings.
Last week, my team and I sat down to talk about AI.
Yes—we shared tools we’re using.
Yes—we swapped tips and tricks.
Yes—we talked about prompts and platforms and productivity.
But then?
We did something a lot of teams skip:
We talked about how we feel about it all.
The overwhelm.
The fear.
The “Will there be any jobs left?” anxiety.
The “What’s my value if a bot can write this faster?” thoughts.
We named the elephants in the room.
We breathed together.
And then, we made some decisions:
But, here’s the bit I really want to share:
We realised teams don’t just need upskilling in AI.
They need space to decompress their feelings about AI.
To share their fears.
To share their overwhelm.
To feel heard.
Because humans who feel safe will explore, adapt, and learn.
